1. Overview
This policy explains what information Kami collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the platform and help you study.
2. Information we collect
When you create an account we collect your name and email address. As you practise, we store your progress data - questions answered, correct answers, sets completed, flagged questions, daily goals, streaks, chosen avatar, and optional exam date. If you purchase lifetime access, we store payment identifiers (such as the Stripe customer, session, and payment IDs, amount, and date) - but never your full card number.
3. How we use it
We use your information to create and secure your account, save and sync your study progress across devices, process payments, provide support, and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Service providers
We rely on trusted third parties to operate Kami: Supabase for authentication and database storage, Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record for payment processing, and our hosting provider for serving the site. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms.
5. Cookies & local storage
Kami uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as your theme. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Data security
Your progress is protected by row-level security so that each account can only access its own data. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in plain text. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Data retention
We keep your account and progress data for as long as your account exists. You can reset your progress from your settings at any time, or ask us to delete your account entirely.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make a request, email {{ email }} from the address on your account.
9. Children
Kami is intended for students preparing for the GAT. If you are under 16, please use Kami with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
